Microsoft showed Thursday the next version of its Windows OS at a press event in Taipei, unveiling a completely new tile-based interface that it hopes will be better suited for the emerging world of tablet PCs.

Windows WE DID NOT WANT THIS we wanted the same desktop with the taskbar and the famous start button not this phone shit. Phone is for phone and PC is for PC im gonna stick to Windows 7 we just wanted a super Windows 7 like a 2.0 windows 7 not this shit

Maybe win 8 will be a decent tablet OS or for those who are addict to goverment social control webs(best named social webs), but for productivity, cience and people that thinks more that the common american sucker and that are pissed of by shit like facebook this OS will make them laugh and then hate it quicly, what shame that the shit mentality of the “ishit” (iphone) are infecting every place on earth, in the near feature even linux will become in this surely

@pixelr0 I just say Mac because I grew up using Macs in school but could only ever afford a PC, though a Linuxs would also work.

@anime18andup why mac and not linux(Ubuntu). Just works like a mac, no need for drivers etc.. and for 90% of users is perfect! music/movies internet. My parents are on linux because i got sick and tired maintaining windows for them.

You can run windows 8 in the new touch style or in the classic windows style. Watch the full version of this video and at 12.04 he changes it to the classic windows style.
